Buyer Beware, really.

I also have never written a bad review about a company. I just hope this saves others from what my family and I went through. We ordered a sofa, loveseat and Ottoman from greatfurnituredeal.com in June. We received the furniture just before the beginning of October. They had sent us the furniture in August, but the wrong color, yet marked and labeled as our color, trying to fool us and get us to take it. The customer service will say anything to get you into their confidence, and they are crafty at it. I could go on and on about what we had to go through, one of which was no furniture in our living room for three months thanks to their "promises". Run, don't walk from this outfit. Bad, unfeeling people. Have they not a conscience?

Biggest scam artist beware!!!!!!

When you initially enquire they are very nice and polite and promise the whole world but once you purchase stuff there is no one to reach out for any issues.I was working with manager there called ray the rudest customer service rep i have deal with ever.The guy had the audacity to tell me you get what you pay for and where you buy from when i purhcased a $10500 dining room set from him.They promised a 1 month delivery timeframe for a aico dining set but it took them 6 month to deliver it and when it arrived it looked more like a used piece than new.I refused delivery and their delivery guy threatened me and refused to take the item back.These guys would not leave my house and I felt my life was in danger.My wife called the cops and they were arrested.In addition I got a call from some high level guy at the company who threatened to sue me for returning the piece and getting their guys arrested.I told them to go *** themself and would not dare work with these guys ever. I have reported to BBB on them and now they are not even a part of BBB.Beware buying from this company

Ordered a bed from Greatfurnituredeal.com they came out and delivered it was the wrong bed. So the wrong bed sat in my living room for a week and and half then they finally came I got the old bed. Then finally another week and a half passed they called me to diliver the bed and said it was the wrong size. I canceled my order because of all this mess. And then get a email saying they are charging me for a delivery - A bed that never got delivered and a restocking fee. A total of over $1300. Wow what terrible service. AVOID!!

A Complete Horror!

The living room furniture was delivered damaged, called and emailed for days before getting any reply at all. Then I was told they would get back to me, the aico manufacturer takes time to reply. When I contacted aico directly, they had no complaint filed about my furniture from this company. The furniture is a wreck, broken ottoman, missing tassels shabby all together. They refuse to replace damaged pieces and state they will fix it for me. I paid for new furniture, why would I want to have it fixed? I have filed claims with credit card, bbb and now may have to go to small claims. This company is horrendous! Terrible to deal with.

Do Not Buy From Great Furniture Deal

I have never in my life written a complaint on a company before, but then again, I've never received the terrible customer service, like I did with Great Furniture Deal. This was a terrible process as soon as they received our credit card information. We dealt with late delivery, terrible customer support and shoddy workmanship. When I tried to get names of the people who could help, I was refused and had to do countless hours of research to find it myself. Please, please, please save yourself the heartache and headaches and get your furniture someplace else! Buyer Beware!

I agree!!!!!! Greatdeal Furniture.com was absoutely horrendous in every single aspect.

Diningroom set I ordered was damaged...not once but 2x and the 2nd time they wanted me to pay for shipping.

The customer service was absolutely incompetent. I wouldnt buy from this website again even if I was paid to.....THE WORSE!!!!!!!

Delivered damaged goods, very disrespectful!

Broyhill sectional delivered with *** in it. Reported to greatfurnituredeal.com, was advised by "Amy" to take photos and they would file a claim. From there it went from bad to worse- the sales "men" became rude, disrespectful and accusitory- during the claim waiting period I heard nothing and after 6 weeks I reported it to my credit card company. After their review they refunded my money and that got their attention- they are accusing me of stealing their furniture. This is the WORST consumer experience of my entire life- I should have read more of the complaints and bad reviews- "Ray" laughed at me when I referenced their poor BBB rating stating that the rating was based on them not being willing to "pay them off"- this is the WORST customer service I have ever encountered. I tried working with them in so much as I found the repair man, was willing to meet the repairman to have the work done- they can have it back and I will do whatever I can to help any one else avoid this company and their practices. BUY ELSEWHERE!!!!

DO NOT CALL OR ORDER FROM THIS PLACE

They have zero integrity, honesty or general ability to communicate to a potential customer. I simply asked a question, "Do you price match?".... their answer: "yes". I walked the representitive through the other merchant's website so that he could confirm it was the same model etc. He mentioned that I would be subject to sales tax and shpping or local pick up with the other merchant. I simply said: "ok, so what does that add, and we'll do that with you guys?" He said; "it's probably best you go pick it up from them." I began to explain that if the answer to price matching is "no". I'm okay with that, I still would like to consider several other peices they had in addition to the particular sofa we were discussing."..... He hung up on me. After 3 calls back I finally got a live "MANAGER" so to speak on the phone (Angle). She insisted for me to provide the written quote from the other merchant before we could discuss. She also accused me of giveing push-back because I didn't want to provide it in writing..... Again: It's on the INTERNET.... anyone with a decent vision, simply no IQ and an internet connection can see the price/shipping/tax/etc. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS ESTABLISHMENT. IT IS A COMPLETE JOKE!!

Greatfurnituredeal.com Damaged Merchandise Not Resolved

Avoid this online furniture company called greatfurnituredeal.com. I purchased an item that had a forklift dent in the side made by the furniture company Whalen. I refused shipment and the trucking company removed the damaged shipping item and it took weeks for greatfurnituredeal.com to refund the payment by paypal. I then placed a second order and the company accepted my payment and then rejected the order due to my earlier refusal to accept the damaged in shipping product. They actually have a policy that you have to keep the bad stuff until a claim is processed taking weeks or months, can you imagine that! They stated I could no longer make payment by PAYPAL and must use a cashiers check because PAYPAL garantees the transaction. Without PAPAL on my side I would be dead! They will make them refund this eventually! Although they have kept my PAYPAL order money so far! So although they offer PAYPAL, it is on shakey ground that you walk. I do not recommend doing business with these people, they are totally unethical!

The reviews on this are pretty fun to read. Gotta say something is brewing on this one.

If anyone knows anything, it's me. I have worked for Wellsfargo, Bank of America, and I use Paypal for everything I do. I little info for the pissed consumer up top: if great furniture deal cancelled your order with Paypal, no money was actually deducted from your credit card. Most furniture or online companies do what they call a "credit card authorization" and then charge at the point of shipment.

Credit card authorizations ARE NOT CHARGES. It's an authorization that may look like a charge on your end, but wasn't. Online vendors do this so that they can cancel orders without paying addition fees to refund your card. Why don't you check with your financial institution in 48 to 72 hours.

Your credit card will reflect your money as if it was never taken out. the good news?

no one took your money! I agree with Scott- watch out for the real monsters who take your order, dont fulfill it AT ALL, and then charge you additional fees!

AVOID GreatFurnitureDeal.com

Bought two rooms worth of furniture which was delivered in damaged condition. One item was so damaged that the delivery company excluded it for safety reasons. Delivery people lost the paperwork for the shipment so we couldn't document the extent of damage. Called GreatFurniture customer service and while on phone the delivery guys drove off so we couldn'y decline and return the furniture. Attempts to rectify with the delivery company (Manna) and GreatFurniture failed do to poor communication and a genuine lack of effort.

You'll regret doing business with GreatFurniture. Check out the attached link and you'll see all the complaints filed with the BBB of Utah and why they were given a grade of 'F' and had their membership revoked. The above customer placed his order on 09/21/16 for two CUSTOM ordered (made in the USA) sofas. These take about 4 weeks to produce and 2-4 weeks to ship/deliver (It states on our website to allow 6-8 weeks for delivery as they are custom produced pieces).

The product shipped out on 10/26/16 (Still within the appropriate time frame)

The Customer called in requesting an update on 10/26/16 and filed a charge back with their credit card company after finding out they were not delivering that day.

The customer unfortunately did not understand the production time and delivery time associated with his order.

In our terms and conditions listed clearly on our site, it states that if an order is canceled after it ships, the customer is responsible for the return fees.

Since the customer filed a chargeback on this order with his credit card company, the order was stopped and returned according to the return policy.

The reason the customer did not receive the items is because of the charge back. We are only charging him the standard return fees associated with a return.

We filed a complaint with the federal trade commission and also with consumerfinance.gov and you can also file a complaint with utah attorney generals office. The federal trade commission said the more complaints they get on this illegitimate business they can open a class action lawsuit.

They are the worst. Ordered a couch from them and they sent me the wrong one.

They argued with me about it and claimed that it was the right couch. I disputed the charge with my cc company and they threatened collections. Finally came to an agreement that they would drop collections if I returned couch which is what I wanted to do all along. They changed the collections from price of couch to 2 shipping charges for $400+ and a 20% restocking fee.

They are the definition of crooks. STAY AWAY!!!

I ordered counter stools. The company called me and said they would not be in for 8-10 weeks then it would be 5-10 day delivery on top of that.

I said ok because I didn't have time to process it. I emailed them 5 minutes later and they told me I would have to pay a 5% restocking/cancellation fee. Are you kidding me?!?!?!!! That is ridiculous!!

The stools won't be in for almost 3 months, which they do not say backordered on their website!

When I asked to speak to a manager they told me they were the manager and if I want the ordered cancelled I have to sign a waiver. DO NOT do business with them!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, after reading this post I will admit I did not want to order from this company. But, I made my order April 14th and I do have to give credits to this Five Star Source.

Their customer service department was actually amazing and so helpful. They price matched my sofa set with another competitor and were so nice about it. Just received a tracking number for my order via email and I am so excited to receive my furniture. I spoke to them about their damage policies and reviewed some steps with me so that if my order does incur damage, I will know what to do.

I did not find anything wrong with this company despite this review. I am sorry that you had a bad experience, but so far, mine has been the very best.
